We believe that the energy of people is shaped by the atmosphere of the place they inhabit. When in 2002 we faced the decision to relocate our Law Firm, we knew the new space had to be exceptional. That is why we chose a historic early 20th-century complex with its distinctive chimney, standing out among the surrounding buildings. Located in the very heart of Poznań yet steeped in history – we knew the decision could not have been different.

The buildings that today serve our team once housed vinegar fermentation vats and mustard mills – as this was the site of Pecowin, a Food Processing Industry Plant. The complex was designed by renowned architect Stefan Sawicki, who later also took part in the reconstruction of Poznań’s Old Town, destroyed during the war.

Rediscovering this space, we sought to preserve its original character. By embracing the raw beauty of the brick, minimalist architecture, we wanted to reintegrate it into Poznań’s vibrant urban fabric with style. While revitalizing the external structures, we also modernized the interiors. The industrial design we encountered became a source of immense inspiration. We harnessed the vastness of the space with elegant glass partitions, preserving the openness of the former Pecowin while ensuring comfortable working conditions for the entire team. Distinctive brick arches and concrete floors gained new life when complemented by contemporary artworks and minimalist furnishings. The abundance of greenery further enhances the freshness and balance of the environment.

Although nearly a century has passed since the construction of this factory complex, the spirit of Greater Poland’s entrepreneurship, creativity, and ambition still lingers here – values that also guide Grobla21. For more than two decades, each day as we step through its doors, we have had the privilege of writing a new chapter in its story. As we continue to expand, we are revitalizing additional buildings along Grobla Street, grateful to work in a space almost tailor-made for us.
